On Saturday, we had portraits taken of Ren in a few different Chinese outfits. He's such a handsome boy, and I think the portraits really captured his good looks! There are many good ones but I'll post just a few for now. I'll follow this post with one of the siblings together. (We ended up dressing Claire up too, and she was a major ham during the photo session - too cute.)

Adoption Jargon
L.I.D. - Log In Date - the date China got our main file. This was March 5, 2008.
L.O.I. - Letter Of Intent - the letter we wrote to China asking if Ren can be ours.
L.O.A. or L.S.C. - Letter of Acceptance or Letter Seeking Confirmation - the letter from the Chinese government that says Ren is ours upon our confirmation. This usually takes several months to arrive.
T.A. - Travel Approval (also known as "Notice of Coming to China for Adoption") - letter from the Chinese government that gives us permission to enter China and receive Ren. Usually comes about 1 month after the L.O.A. We book our tickets to China once we get this letter.

As I have said about Claire in some of your old posts....Ren too has captured that "look of beyond!" Maybe you will end up with two professional dancers to deal with !! I love these pictures and can really see how Claire and Ren have quickly bonded.
You should tell Paul that he should get some shots taken too!!
